Our story
The idea
Back in 2013, with a few successfully launched fintech projects behind, and having walked in the fintech entrepreneurs’ shoes, we realized that developing each project from scratch was too time- and resource-consuming. Finding a team with a decent experience in digital payment software was incredibly challenging, and talents retention and product development itself were not easier.
The product
Since Pavlo Sidelov’s core expertise was exactly the digital payments area, we decided to fill in the gap and build a set of pre-fabricated modules, or a software development kit (hence the brand name) as a foundation for building financial products on top.
As each fintech project deals with the same entities – i.e accounts, transactions, commission fees, cheques etc, which can be configured for specific tasks, and we had a strong expert team, the first version of SDK.finance was rolled out shortly.
The future
We’re proud that SDK.finance products and proficiency have helped numerous companies around the globe launch or reform their payment business. This includes ewallet and payment mobile apps, merchant payment acceptance solutions, financial services in Europe, Middle East, Egypt, Western Asia. Our further goals and plans are quite ambitious. Pavlo Sidelov, Ph.D., is the founder, CTO, key ideologist and solution architect at SDK.finance, with more than two decades of experience in digital payments, banking technology and launching FinTech products. He is a recognised payments innovator, author and inventor of several payment technology patents.
Pavlo authored The World of Digital Payments: Practical Course (FinTech), recognised among the Top 50 FinTech books, and The World of Digital Banking. He is a former Forbes Technology Council member, a Banking Tech Awards judge, a regular speaker at global and European FinTech events, an independent OSCE consultant, and a mentor at AIFC FinTech HUB and GrowthUP accelerators.
Alex Malyshev is the Co-founder and CEO of SDK.finance, with two decades of experience in FinTech, digital payments and financial product development. A seasoned FinTech business expert, he leads the company’s strategy, product direction and business development, helping payment companies and financial institutions turn ideas into viable, scalable financial products.
Alex specialises in FinTech business models, market validation, software selection, technology ownership and the path from proof of concept to full-scale launch. He is also a mentor at Startup Wise Guys and other startup programmes, a public speaker and a startup competition judge who shares his expertise through Finextra, Marqeta, FinTech Forum and Startup Lithuania.
