Dedicated Team Workflow

The dedicated team option is best for companies without their own IT teams.

With this option, SDK.finance hires and manages a dedicated IT team focused only on your product development.

We will address the following questions:

  • Timeline
  • Team structure
  • How does SDK.finance calculate the cost of a dedicated team?
  • What is the procedure for financial settlements?
  • Software development life cycle workflow (SDLC)
  • What happens if a dedicated team doesn’t have new features for development?
  • What happens if you no longer need a dedicated team?

Timeline

All development will be carried out on the SDK.finance Platform. As long-term cooperation is the key to developing a quality product, the minimum contract term is 1 year.

You do not pay a license fee for the software during the contract period, but you can purchase The Platform’s Source Code at the end of the Software Development Contract for €396,000.

How do we calculate the cost of a dedicated team?

We have a unique approach to dedicated teams in that we are transparent with the team’s efficiency. We track the time each team member spent working and invoice you based on an actual number of hours:

  • Access sharing

We provide full access to Confluence and Jira to your team and collaborate on shared spaces.

  • Q&A sessions and reports

We hold calls daily. Every month, we send a full report with all performed tasks (based on Jira) and the time team members spent working.

To summarize, you only pay for work done.

What is the procedure for financial settlements?

SDK.finance invoices the number of hours spent performing tasks every month. We can guarantee 1440 hours of efficient work/delivery from a team member in a year based on our experience. Considering sick leaves and vacations, the number of hours per month may vary from 90 to 140, but on average, we expect 120 hours of efficient working hours per month.

Software development life cycle (SDLC) workflow

From a project management perspective, we use a custom workflow that we built based on our experience in the FinTech industry. It’s a combination of best practices from the Project Management Institute (PMI) workflow and Agile frameworks.

The Agile software development process is characterized by iterative sprints lasting from two to four weeks (Scrum model). Each system release differs from the previous one by small changes. At each sprint, the system is tested. This model works best since our goal is to detect issues before they appear or mature into more significant challenges.

You can find a detailed description of the SDLC workflow here.

What happens if a dedicated team doesn’t have new features for development?

In cases when there is a temporary lack of feature development tasks from you, SDK.finance guarantees that members of dedicated teams will focus on product maintenance (e.g., code grooming, preparing additional tests, improving code documentation, etc.). We believe that such work is valuable and strongly influences the final quality of the product.

This approach has the following benefits:

  • all team members spend 100% of their working time on your project with an obligation from us to not switch them to any other projects within this period; you can rely on this resource entirely;
  • new team members understand the product better, enabling them to work more efficiently. Naturally, onboarding a new team member means spending a significant amount of time on knowledge sharing and education;
  • you only pay efficient work time.

What happens if you no longer need a dedicated team?

We ask for a mandatory notification 3 months in advance or cover an early cancellation fee if you have to stop faster.

You can purchase The Platform’s Source Code at the end of the Software Development Contract for €396,000.
