Alex Malyshev

Alex Malyshev is the Co-founder and CEO of SDK.finance, a FinTech software company that provides the transaction and ledger foundation for digital wallets, payment services, neobanks and other financial products. With two decades of experience in FinTech, digital payments and financial product development, Alex combines a deep understanding of financial business models with practical experience in bringing complex technology products to market. His expertise covers payment and banking business models, product strategy, market validation, software selection, technology ownership and the launch and scaling of new financial products. He helps FinTech founders and financial institutions evaluate commercial opportunities, identify critical product and technology risks, choose between in-house development and ready-made infrastructure, and build a realistic route from proof of concept to MVP and full-scale launch. Before founding SDK.finance, Alex gained first-hand experience launching payment products and saw how much time, capital and specialist knowledge were required to build financial infrastructure from scratch. This experience shaped the concept behind SDK.finance: give companies a ready foundation for transaction processing and ledger management so they can launch faster and focus their resources on customer experience, product differentiation and sustainable growth. As CEO, Alex leads SDK.finance’s business strategy, product direction and commercial development. Acting as a Product Owner for the platform, he contributes to the product roadmap, identifies market requirements and helps translate the operational needs of banks, payment companies and FinTech businesses into platform capabilities. He has also built the company’s pricing, sales and client acquisition processes, led negotiations with international financial businesses and helped establish the financial discipline required to scale a technology company sustainably. Alex works closely with founders, executives and product teams across global markets. His approach connects business strategy with the realities of financial technology, including regulatory requirements, integration complexity, infrastructure ownership, operating costs, vendor dependence and long-term product scalability. Beyond SDK.finance, Alex is a mentor at Startup Wise Guys and other startup programmes, a public speaker and a jury member at startup competitions. He has shared his experience through Finextra and industry discussions hosted by organisations including Marqeta, FinTech Forum and Startup Lithuania. His contributions cover FinTech entrepreneurship, payment infrastructure, embedded finance, product strategy and the commercial realities of launching financial services.
